So this is suppose to be my way of viewing success. The way I see it is that there is a huge mountain we all are trying to climb to reach the top. We all want to get to the top because there is where we see the best view imaginable. We can see the hardships we overcame, the problems we solved, and the successes we achieved. In my picture you can see that there is more than one person at the bottom because that's where we all start. No one has the same path. Some paths may take longer than others to reach the top. Some maybe shorter. Everyone's is different. The point I'm trying to make is that whatever path you make for yourself, it doesn't matter, because eventually you will make it to the top of your own mountain. And one day you'll see everyone at the top of the mountain with you, and that is the best reward anyone is granted.

Heroes!
In class we had to come up with movies or tv shows that consisted of heroes and villains and that were also listed on our class list. While we were writing down movie names and thinking of who played the protagonist or antagonist we noticed that society was playing a major villain in many of the movie. The heroes were the ones who strayed away from the society norm and faced their conflict straight on. Society is always going to be playing the villain in real life if you think about it. If anyone strays away from any type of a normal routine, it's like the world will end the next day. If someone is different than the rest, we shouldn't shun them from society, we should accept them and appreciate their ideas and personality.

Animals and Movies
In class, Lacy broke us up into groups and had us pick a topic. We had come up with examples of it and how it is viewed in pop culture. The students I was paired with were also interested in animals so we all came up with some ideas. A topic that were easy to think of was how pitbulls are portrayed in today's society. People depict them as mean, aggressive, and vicious dogs. But in reality and with good training, they are actually very sweet animals. In the movie, The Sandlot, they make the dog to be a crazed killer that if you go over the fence, you're gone for good. So in the movie, the boys come up with tons of schemes to try to avoid and outsmart the dog to get their baseball back. Meanwhile all they had to do was ask the owner in the first place. Anyway, in the end of the movie, they show that the dog is very kind and loving of the children, and becomes the mascot of their baseball team.
Also in movies like Up, Airbud, Marley and Me, Cats vs. Dogs, and Homeward Bound, you see the dogs playing main or crucial roles in the plot line. They unlike cats are shown more loving, loyal, and athletic. In Up, the dog named Dug had an amazing relationship that grew in the movie with the old man and child. He showed loyalty and trust towards them. Same with Cats vs. Dogs, you see the dogs playing the loyal role while we always view cats as mean and manipulative. Even in Lady and the Tramp, the same roles are being played.
But overall, animals play a huge role in today's society and entertainment. They help us relax and honestly find joy or sadness in a movie. Confession: I cried when Will Smith's dog in I Am Legend died and really didn't care when he sacrificed himself for mankind. But, I guess he had too... right?

If more people thought about others' opinions, our society would run a lot more smoothly. Instead of looking for the negative in the argument, people should learn to Yes, And more often. If we do we can put our selves in the other person's shoes and it will make us understand where we are coming from more easily. As more people Yes, And we all will learn how to come to a conclusion or settlement easier and less stressful. People will become happier because they are not always feeling like they have to fight for their opinion to be right in any situation. When people are in a heated discussion, and they're yelling at each other about who thinks who is wrong or right doesn't get them anyway in the argument any faster. There will be no progression, but if they see what the other person is trying to say they might be able to connect with their thought and visa versa, they could reach a resolution they both agree with.
