We had to do an assignment that made us think of what literacy artifacts really are.  I chose to focus on my wall posters.  I had a my Chi O poster because now that I think of it, it is starting to mean what my future can become.  I now have so many new friends and new experiences in my life. I also had a Pittsburgh poster, that I mostly just wanted to remind me of home.  My list goes on, and each poster made me really think of why I have each of them.  I thought about who got me them, when they got me them and why. Each one has its own significance because each poster has its own story behind it.  I love coming into my room and looking at what was my past (Pittsburgh), my present, and my future (Chi Omega).  I can not wait for the new experiences, and I will never forget the old.

  1. I think that most people don't think of posters like pictures. However, I think its cool that you see them the as just giant pictures and memories; something that can connect you to where you've been and where you're going.

  2. Thats pretty legit how you have posters representing the person you are and who you will become. I think having posters in your room is cool because it lets people who come visit know the kind of person you are.

  3. I am imagining how much someone would know about you and what they wouldn't know if they are "reading" your wall. Do you think there are missing things? Things about you not represented?

  4. I really like the idea of how you talk about what your future can become, while keeping in mind your past and where you come from. I feel that it is so important to remember where we come from because it has made us who we are today. We also need to keep in mind our future and want what is best for us. Im sure you have a great future ahead and will always remember where you came from!

  5. We have a mixer tomorrow!! I'm in Lambda Chi Alpha. I feel the same way about it too, it's taking over my life and it's the best thing I've ever done. I love looking forward to my future in Lambda Chi and hoping it turns out perfect. Good post!
